The Griot is the living archive that calls us to write our own stories. They are the keeper of our histories through text, song, dance, oral traditions, memory, and lost languages. They surround themselves with scrolls of Nsidibi and ask us to decipher our relationship to tradition and futurity.
The Griot reminds us that even if a memory or story becomes lost with time, we have the power to reclaim and recreate.
